Valentine’s Day Stand-up Comedy Event at Abolitionist Ale Works in Charles Town
Love’s Gambit, a stand-up comedy event, will happen at Abolitionist Ale Works on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, February 14. Seating for the show starts at 7 PM and the show starts at 8PM.
This is the second stand-up comedy event hosted at the brewery, which specializes in craft beer brewed on site along with artisanal pizzas and local wine and cider. The first comedy event was a sell out in January and the Valentine’s Day event looks to be even better.
The event will feature, 3 DC area comedians with lots of experience performing all around the country. Headlined by Haywood Turnipseed, founder of Attack of the Comics, the comedian has over a decade of experience under his belt playing venues such as The Kennedy Center and DC Improv. The event will be hosted by Chelsea Shorte, no stranger to large comedy venues and will also include Jimmy Pete who has performed at the Broadway Comedy Club in New York and countless other venues.
The event is being produced by JC Productions who plans on continuing to do comedy shows at Abolitionist Ale Works. “We are importing the brightest talent from DC, Baltimore and surrounding areas. Several DC Metro area comedy venue managers are cooperating to make sure Abolitionist Ale Works stays fresh with established talent while getting some first looks at the best up and coming comedians the area has to offer” said John Coulter of JC Productions.
