ROCS Local Market opens newest store on Route 9 in Martinsburg
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – ROCS Local Market, the Eastern Panhandle-based chain of family-owned and -operated convenience stores, will hold a grand opening event Sept. 7 for its newest store at 976 Hedgesville Road in Martinsburg. The opening will mark the company’s 16th store in the region. Festivities will begin at 11 a.m. with a ribbon cutting followed by prize giveaways and free food and drink samples until 6 p.m. Additionally, customers can enjoy free coffee at the new store through Sept. 14.
Located on Route 9 off I-81 exit 16W in Martinsburg, the new ROCS is easily accessible by large trucks and heavy volumes of traffic. “We thought about designing the store and surrounding lot to fit all customer needs better than ever before,” said Jason Roach, owner/operator of R.M. Roach & Sons, parent company of ROCS. “With its location just off the interstate, the new store will meet the needs of traveling families, professional drivers, and of course, the Berkeley County community it serves.”
The new ROCS store has 16 gas pumps, indoor and outdoor dining areas with room to comfortably seat more than 30 guests and other amenities such as the Fresh Kitchen touchscreen ordering systems for fresh-to-order food, an ATM, extensive wine and beer selections and more. The store will be open 14 hours a day, seven days a week. ROCS will add at least 25 new jobs to accommodate the store’s needs.
The new store will also feature Smoke on the ROCS BBQ, the latest addition to the growing ROCS Fresh Kitchen brand. ROCS smokes its barbeque pulled pork, brisket, ribs and more fresh every day. Other fast-casual favorites include fresh-to-order subs and sandwiches, hand-breaded chicken, home-style appetizers and sides, fresh fruit smoothies, hot breakfast burritos and more. “We’d like to have customers in and out, with fresh and delicious food in their hands in a matter of minutes,” said Nathan Cosner, Director of ROCS Operations. “We promise our customers a fast and friendly experience.”
ROCS’ newest store is also notable for several other reasons, according to Kelly Roach, Director of Sales and Marketing for R.M. Roach & Sons. “In addition to the introduction of the ROCS Fuel brand, customers will notice the large LED display monument sign when they approach the site,” she said. “Customers can literally look forward to creative messages and special offers on this sign.”
