Mooney Campaign, West Virginians For Life Points Out Nick Casey’s Fallacies
Press Release received from Mooney campaign.
Charleston, WV - Last Friday, West Virginians For Life pointed out the fallacy being perpetrated by Democrat nominee for Congress Nick Casey about his pro-abortion record.
In an email to pro-life supporters, West Virginians for Life stated:
Nick Casey, candidate for U.S. Congress in the 2nd District, made some statements on Hoppy Kercheval’s September 26th state-wide radio show that were erroneous. West Virginians for Life is obligated to set the record straight.
On National Right to Life’s candidate questionnaire, Nick Casey indicated he would support a proposed bill to invalidate nearly all state and federal limits on abortion, would vote against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and would oppose repeal of the pro-abortion, pro-rationing Obamacare law. His opponent, Alex Mooney, opposes the proposed bill to invalidate nearly all state and federal limits on abortion, would vote in favor of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and would support repeal of the pro-abortion, pro-rationing Obamacare law. (WVFL Email, 10/10/14)
The email was sent in response to Nick Casey’s attempts to cover up his pro-abortion views on a Talkline interview with Hoppy Kercheval. On a right-to-life survey, Nick Casey answered that he would not “support legislation to protect pain-capable unborn children from death by abortion” (WV MetroNews, 9/26/14).
