Local solar homeowner to host open house
Falling Waters, WV - Local solar homeowner and electric vehicle driver Robert Fernatt will host an open house at his home on Saturday, January 20. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour a solar home, take a ride in an electric car, ask questions about solar, and learn about local solar co-ops in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Parking is available in a lot at the end of Cheval Place.
Eastern Panhandle residents can join a solar co-op in Berkeley & Morgan Counties, Jefferson County, or the Potomac Highlands. Joining a co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. Once the group is large enough, co-op participants will select a single company to complete all the installations. Participants will then have the option to purchase panels individually based on the installer’s group rate. Solar co-op participants receive fair and competitive pricing for solar, and support and guidance from Solar United Neighbors throughout the entire process of going solar.
