Local solar co-ops to hold series of public information sessions throughout Eastern Panhandle

Neighbors throughout the Eastern Panhandle have formed solar co-ops to save money and make going solar easier while building a network of solar supporters. The groups are seeking participants and will host a series of information meetings in the month of November to educate the public about solar and the co-op process.
Eastern Panhandle residents interested in joining a co-op can sign up at the Solar United Neighbors of West Virginia website. Joining a co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. Once a group is large enough, co-op participants will select a single company to complete all the installations for the co-op. Participants will then have the option to purchase panels individually based on the installer’s group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants receive fair and competitive pricing for solar and have the support and assistance of Solar United Neighbors of West Virginia throughout the process.
