Jala Yoga offers 5-week Beginner Course and additional Fall Workshops

Shepherdstown, WV—Jala Yoga, the beautiful and inspiring yoga studio at Mellow Moods Cafe and Juice Bar, 117 West German Street, Shepherdstown, is offering a 5-week Course for Beginners starting on September 7.  The class, taught by Jala Yoga owner Christa Mastrangelo Joyce, runs five consecutive Wednesdays from 7:45-8:45 pm.  Focusing on the physical postures, breath practices, and philosophy of yoga, this series is the perfect opportunity to learn new skills before transitioning into any of the ongoing weekly classes at Jala Yoga.  The classes are also appropriate for those students wishing to hone their skills and become more knowledgeable about yoga.  The classes will build upon each other and are best experienced as the complete series, although students are also invited to drop in on individual classes.  The cost for all five classes is $50; the drop-in rate is $12.  For information and to register, contact Christa at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 401-440-0279.

Jala Yoga is offering other workshops in September, including Yoga for Harmonizing Anxiety, Depression and Mood Swings on Saturday, September 10 from 9:30-11:30 am.  Taught by Siri McDonald, LPT, this workshop will introduce students to practices from yoga, ayurveda, and mental health traditions that aim to minimize stress, combat depression, energize the mind, and develop focus for optimal energy flow.  The workshop is appropriate for all levels of students. Jala Yoga offers classes throughout the year in the vinyasa style of yoga in which poses flow from one into another.  Students are encouraged to discover optimal energy, awareness and joy, and to find connection to their creative life force.  Jala Yoga believes that yoga is accessible and necessary for everyone, and both beginners and seasoned practitioners are welcome.
