Free Health Expo in Berkeley Springs on October 8th and 9th

Berkeley Springs, WV - The free Health Expo is a group of exhibits where people can get free Health screenings and information. With each station is a Kids Expo station so children can participate as well in free games, crafts and giveaways. Each station is geared towards the 8 NEWSTART health principles. Each participant will receive a bag of educational materials, water bottle, snacks, recipes, a free mini massage and health counseling.

Free Screenings include: Body Mass Index, Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, Air Capacity, Heart Rate and Health-Age Evaluation.

There will be a booth with information on the dangers of smokeless tobacco and helpful information on how to stop smoking. There will also be hydrotherapy demonstrations throughout each day of the Health Expo.

The free Health Expo will be held during the Apple Butter Festival on Saturday, Oct 8th from 10 am - 5 pm and on Sunday, October 9th from 9am to Noon located in the lot behind the old Allegheny power building at the corner of North Washington and Union Streets adjacent to the 7-Eleven.

The free health expo is sponsored by the Berkeley Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church and will be run by volunteers from the church and the community. Any questions call Lisa Shingleton (evenings) 304-258-2739.
