Hardy Co., WV -  Fmr. Del. John Buckley, the Libertarian candidate for United States Senate, was today endorsed by former two-term Governor of New Mexico, Gary Johnson.

Like Buckley, Johnson is a former Republican elected official who switched to the Libertarian Party. Was nominatd the Libertarian candidate for President in 2012.

“I am delighted to endorse John Buckley for U.S. Senate in West Virginia, especially given his experience as an elected state legislator and his record standing up for the interests of taxpayers.”

“The major political parties are drunken spenders and if this country is ever going to get its fiscal house back in order, it’s going to be through the election of ‘tough-on-spending’ candidates like John Buckley.”

“The national debt is out of control,” added Johnson.

“We need U.S. Senators with the guts to say ‘no’ to special interests in Washington.”

Buckley characterized Johnson as the most freedom-oriented, fiscally prudent governor in recent memory in the United States.

“Gary Johnson’s record in New Mexico was exemplary and I am honored to have his endorsement in my campaign for U.S. Senate,” said Buckley.
