City Of Charles Town’s WV Day Festival To Be Held On June 17, 2017
This Saturday, the City of Charles Town will host its 2nd annual WV Day Festival, located on the streets of downtown Charles Town. The event will feature live music, history tours, a 5K Race, live artists, street performers, a kids area, craft and food vendors and a beer garden featuring Charles Town crafted beer.
A CELEBRATION OF THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF WEST VIRGINIA WILL HAPPEN FROM 10am‐3:00 PM IN HISTORIC DOWNTOWN CHARLES TOWN.
The event starts at 10 AM and will continue until 3:00 and is completely free and all ages are welcome.
This event will showcase everything that downtown Charles Town has to offer, for history buffs, there will be a John Brown history tour as well as an open house of the newly renovated Charles Washington Hall as Happy Retreat, former home of Charles Washington. For the kids, there will be a kid’s area, sidewalk chalk, games, hula hoops and street performers entertaining. Fans of art will find live painters as well as finished art displays. Craft lovers will enjoy the many craft vendors. If you like beer, there will be a beer garden featuring beer from Charles Town brewers, Abolitionist Ale Works and Mash Brewing Co. Live music fans will be entertained with 4 live bands and a dj that will be performing overtime until 7:30 PM.
