Charles Town Public Art Project Needs You!

The public arts committee of the C*Town Arts & Culture District is launching a public arts project and we need your help!  We will be creating two large mosaic murals in Charles Town.  Locations are the east wall of Bars & Booths and the north wall of the Evitts Run Park restroom building.

Isaiah Zagar, a world-renowned mosaic artist from Philadelphia, will be here May 25th – May 30th to design and oversee volunteers to create the two mosaics.

We need to coordinate materials, manpower, publicity, fundraising, and documentation of the process.  It’s a job that requires strong team leaders and that’s why we are contacting you.

Our kick-off meeting will be on Wednesday, January 31st at 6:30 at the Firehall Gallery, 108 N. George St., Charles Town WV.

Please come even if you’re not sure what part of the project you’d like to help with. We will explain what’s needed in detail.

Attached is a power point presentation to give you a better idea of the project.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Liz Goins, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or Clissy Funkhouser .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)  (304) 261-6238.

Please consider being part of this exciting project and forward this email & power point attachment to anyone you think will be able to help lead/organize/volunteer to make this project a success.
