ART leads the way in downtown Martinsburg!

A newly installed sign in front of the Berkeley Art Works marks the first projecting sign approved as provided in the revised Martinsburg city sign ordnance. The Berkeley Arts Council worked through several steps including the original design, a Main Street consultant’s visit, adjusting the design and planning the installation, and submitting the plan to the Historic Preservation Review Commission. With the Certificate of Appropriateness in hand, the sign was created and the installer pursued the building permit.

With a clear sunny day, the ladders went up and in jig time the sign was ready to lead visitors to the Berkeley Art Works gallery and the Holiday Market at 116 North Queen Street in downtown Martinsburg. Gallery Holiday hours are Wed-Thu 11-5, Fri 11-8, Sat 11-4, Sun 12-3.
