Abolitionist Ale Works Announces First Bottle Release And Funksgiving Event

Casual and serious beer fans alike love to try new things and Abolitionist Ale Works in Charles Town, WV is giving them a heavy dose of new and exclusive on Thanksgiving Weekend.

Starting on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 22, Abolitionist Ale Works will be hosting its first “Funksgiving Day Eve Party” which will feature a wide selection of all new, limited edition barrel aged and funk beers.  Head brewer and co-owner of Abolitionist Ale Works, Michael Vance thought up of the event as a way to showcase a wide variety of unique and creative flavors of beer that he loves to create.  A lot of the beers showcased during the event may only be available on this day or may not return again for quite a while.

Charles Town brewery announces Thanksgiving weekend events, featuring a first-ever limited-edition bottle release and first annual funksgiving event featuring all new funk and barrel aged beers.

On Small Business Saturday, November 25, Abolitionist Ale Works will release its first ever bottle to the public.  The beer is called “Gin and Juice” which is an 8.3% abv farmhouse style ale, that has been aged in a gin barrel for 8 months with tangerines.  The bottles are expected to sell out fast, as there are less than 140 of them available to purchase. 

On Sunday, November 26, the brewery will feature live acoustic music from Jamie Gregory from 2 PM to 5 PM.
