2nd Annual Outdoor Movie & Drive-In This Weekend, Hagerstown, MD
Hagerstown, Maryland: Leitersburg Cinemas, in partnership with What’s NXT, a local events and entertainment guide, is reviving its Outdoor Movie & Drive-In, brought to you by Younger Mitsubishi, for a limited 4-day event. Starting Thursday, August 14th and continuing through Sunday, August 17th, they will bring back the giant 65’ outdoor movie screen with a new summer hit each night.
“We got such positive feedback from the community after last year’s drive-in, we wanted to bring the event back this year,” said Pieter Bickford, Editor-in-Chief of What’s NXT. “It’s local, it’s fun and it’s a great way to spend a summer evening with friends and family.”
Guests may choose the traditional “drive-in” with their vehicles or carry in chairs and blankets to sit on the newly expanded lawn area. There is one low price of $7.50 per ticket for both seating options. Tickets are available on a same-day, first-come, first-served basis. Drive-in spots are limited.
There are two highlighted events at this year’s outdoor movie. Thursday, August 14th is “Beer & A Big Movie”, 21 and over only, with a beer garden presented by Antietam Brewery and live music by “Seventh Tower.” The feature presentation is “Let’s Be Cops” rated-R. Sunday, August 17th is “Free Retro Movie Sunday”. There is no charge for admission to see the retro feature, “Back to the Future”.
