This event is free and open to the public - we hope to see you there!

The Signature Speaker Series lectures are underpinned entirely by private donations to the George Tyler Moore Center. The Center will work with donors to find topics of interest and potential speakers related to an aspect of the nineteenth century, not necessarily only the Civil War era. The inaugural lecture with Scott Hartwig is sponsored through the generosity of Dean and Judy Shultz, who have dedicated themselves to battlefield preservation. The Center has received a donation for the second lecture in the series to take place in the fall. For any supporters that are interested in sponsoring a Signature Speaker Series lecture, please reach out to the Shepherd University Foundation or to the George Tyler Moore Center for further information.
